As you might have guessed by now my name is Riaan van Wyk. I’m a philosopher, free thinker and devils advocate, but during daytime (and most nights too!) I pose as an IT systems engineer.
I was born (1977) and raised in South Africa and is actually still lving here with my wife Cornelle and 2 dogs.
I love reading fiction and my favorite books are the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, anything by the late Douglas Adams and of course JRR Tolkien (to name only a few).
I also love rock and alternative music and some of my favorite bands are: Pearl Jam, Metallica, Muse, Placebo, Foo Fighters, Coutning Crows and Nirvana.
This blog will not be about anything specific. Mostly it would be a way for me to collect the musings, rants, comments and arguments of me and my friends about life, love and the universe (and rugby!!).
